Thought the M8 had a better gun...

Am I wrong in remembering in AH1 that it took four shells from the M8 to kill a town building, vs. the panzer/tiger etc  taking two rounds.

Am I mistaken here?  

I was at a18 on Baltic shooting at town blds with HE rounds and it was taking 10 rounds per building.  Seems a bit silly that I drove my m8 for 20+ min dodging nme gv's and buffs to only destroy 8 buildings.

 Nope your wrong(no offense) It takes 10 shots in a M8 to kill a building. Well atleast it did in ah1 I am for sure.

ScJazz computed a bunch of the damage for different shells/guns in AH1 and as far as I know they are still accurate.  Here is what he had for GV guns (well, tank guns at least):
