MACROVISION DVD protection?
« on: August 31, 2004, 08:05:01 AM »
Ok so my girl works at a video store and brought over a few DVDs to watch last night.

Every time i tryed  2 of the 4  the DVD player (i tryed Interactual and the ATI DVD player) came up with  a error code saying that "the MACROVISION initiater failed" (or somethng like that).

Is this telling me  these are copied DVD?

I'd be willing to bet that you hooked up your computer to the TV via TV out.  Some DVD's don't like this.
