heres why, You could pork fuel just like real life. You could take anyplane up (not real but real for MA) and its normal in war to take best weapons. There was night time, it would slow down offence (Missions) which was good and bad depending on what end you were on, could even be helpful. My squad also took bases at night. You could pork fuel to slow enemy down by porking fuel on offence and defence. AH1 made players think. it made teams play and communicate better. If all you want to do is furball most maps had a section where you could. The rest of use that like to play as a team could still have fun. Also the game ran better on everbodys computer. I will admit the ground game is better but for some but people like me who never got out of gvs in Ah 1 some of us can't play ground anymore because frame rate makes it look like a old worn out movie on the ground and sound dose not work as in you cant tell what direction anybodys coming from. I have been a knight since I started so was never use to winning all the time. That has not changed. But when we did work together we were unstoppable even when we were out numbered.

I agree, onions. Used to you could go pork a field buy killing the fuel, then that would limit all activity to the local airspace. Sounds reasonable to me. Now, everyone runs around killing troops (If you see a lone 190 diving in on you base, 9 out of 10 times he is after your troops). What's so bad about that? Well, it has reduce the whole tactical picture to a grudge match. "Yeah...let's kill troops!" I got so tired of it happening to us the other night that me and some of my squaddies did a grand tour ourselves and killed the troops and the 5 closest bases to us. Not really a thrill, but now that is about all you can do with a small element (3 to 5 guys).

IMO field fuel shoudn't be porked by bunkers, but by rather an improved Fuel Factory strat. The Strat System is well rather pointless right now since it has little or no effects on the items on the field. So you have bomber that instead of doing 15k bombing raids to strat that would prefer to sucide to damage a field. Field items except for troops should be controlled more by strat objects. that imo would settle whines on both sides of the fence. Strat object's take a lot to flatten. So you can give the furballers what they want. otoh you have the fact you can accutally bomb and pork it now, so that would stop the porks side of the whine.

I personally much prefer AHII. It puts the emphasis back on fighting each other instead of fighting inanimate pixelated graphics that don't shoot back. There's alot less Non-fighting in AHII even on the Big maps, which makes them somewhat tolerable.

I miss AH 1 also !

I enjoyed playing AH 1, much more than AH 2.........
