I installed a Gforce fx 5700 le with 256MB,
all test show card working properly, however when i click on AH
it tells me to select vidio card this is the only card installed.
i click ok, then i get
initializaton failed
mainGR3d_failed-4
then it goes back to desktop,
anyone know what im doing wrong ?

Make sure your display settings are not set to 256 colors (should be 32 bit color I think)

Two places to check. Windows display settings and the Aceshigh.exe file Properties/ Compatibility tab (make sure 256 color box is NOT checked.

Hum, from what it told you, it sounds like you may have a built-in
video card that you need to disable in the bios. For some reason
it believes you have at least one video source, and this is most likely the cause.

Don't play with your bios unless you know what you're doing.

Trust me... if you have to ask how to access it, don't.

Good advice.

BIOS (basic input/output system) is the core of your computers startup programing. It's not like changing things in Windows where if you don't like something you can easily change it back. Make a mistake in BIOS and your machine may not start again at all!

Very risky to play around with BIOS if you don't know what you're
doing.

Right click My Computer, select Manage, Device Manager, Display adapters, right click the adapter and select disable.

Uninstall will do the same thing.

Ace,

When you boot your pc somewhere on the screen you will see something to the effect of "press this button for setup". Usually it's the Delete key but it could be different depending on your mainboard.

Once in the setup you're probably looking for "onboard peripherals" or "built-in" once again it's different for each mainboard but shouldn't be too hard to find.

Your mainboard manual ( you can download if you're like me and can't locate the original ) would be a good thing to have on hand.

Be careful in the dark forest of the BIOS,,there be dragons lurking that will render your pc inoperable.
