Anyone using a Saitek here

If so have you had any luck setting up the 8 way snap views?  If so how the heck did ya do it.  Im running panmode now and thats ok until you get more than 1 on ya.

Also the squad I fly with (AE71) is looking for a good practice arena for fly B17 escort.  Are there any active squads that might be interested in doing some intercept on an organized effort?

Will enable true 8way support.

But,
I only use 4way hats. 1 on stick 1 on throttle
with thumb button on throttle a fwd modifier and pinki switch on stick as down modifier. I get all 27? views. Works like a charm. 8-way seems kinda twitchy too me, to close together on the hat.

I have made a web page where the files I use for my Saitek X36 are available. There's a plain one, and one that has eight way view hat due to being sent through Digital Aspirin. If you do not have external pedals, you'll have to map the throttle rudder to the gameport yourself, other than that they're ready to use.

There is also a link to the site of Digital Aspirin, the software tool Saitek themselves should be the ones to make available.

Those sticks are crap. There are whole web sites set up just so long-suffering Saitek users have a place to vent. I used to be one of them. No more.

Put them down (or better yet, slam them down, it'll make you feel better), and slowly step away. Head for your nearby computer store or internet terminal to buy or order a replacement.

Experiences vary a lot. I've had mine for quite some time and couldn't be (much) happier. Their quality assurance dept. could be a lot better though, a lot of half-bad units seem to seep through. Buy one if the price is right is my advice, but at a place where you can exchange it for a new one if you're unlucky.
