The problem with the RPS is that you end up with Bf109E-4 vs. Bf109E-4, then Fw190A-5 vs. Fw190A-5 and then finally Spitfire MkXIV vs. Spitfire MkXIV.  Unless you set it in a HA, and that introduces a whole new set of problems, such as most people flying for the side with the better aircraft.

I am one of those "only fly the p51" type of guys. But i would seriously love an RPS. HTC needs to add alot more early warplanes to even consider doing it.

I'd fly the Mustang Mk III with the Malcom hood from 1942 all the way through - stuff the D model, its slower, heavier, and turns worse.

Before then i'd be forced to fly a 109 or something. But thats cool, its all relative.

Karnak, I never minded fighting Me109E's in "my" Me109E, and I really enjoyed flying in the HA - actually those HA battles were amoungst the most intense  

In AH I usually fly the Spit 9 and am quite fond of spit vs spit duels (Salute Rafbader   since it boils down to pilot vs pilot and not plane performance...

Bottom line is I'd rather see a 109E vs 109E duel than 109G-10 vs 109F-4...
