I highly recommend anyone going to the dueling arena more often. I went yesterday with Fencer and was able to tune to him and talk during the fights. Then with Paul after that. It adds so much more to it..also Mustaine was there although he had no mic, he could hear us.  You can learn alot there!

Was in there yesterday.

It was night when i got in there.  DA needs some attention from HTC imo.

WHy were the bases changed so that you are dueling Rooks V Rooks, or bish v bish ect. I mean it makes no difference but if you are going to duel, you may as well make it like the MA as far as distance counters go.

The Night time thing needs to be fixed also. We waited 20 minutes for it to be light  when we got in there and I ended up losing UDP and got booted. Not that this is HTC's problem but we could have been dueling for the 20minutes before I got booted.

You get the point. No need for night in the DA.

I'd have to agree with this...  If I'm judging what to do by the fact that someone is "636 feet away" then I'm really not learning anything that can be applied in the MA.  I'd rather just know he's 800 & filling up more windshield.

BTW Filth, if you want to school me a few times lemme know, very interested in dueling people way out of my class in the hopes of getting closer to it.  Same goes to you Morpheus.  Just PM me sayin "Oh Vudak, I need some target practice" :)

Me and jaxxo went there couple days ago. Had a blast. Laughed my butt off. On 1st fight (Spit Vs) I got him good - He said, "Don't know what happened my engine just died". I said, "Did you grab a Spit 1 by accident?" Then I hear him laughing on vox -- "Yep!"

Hey Filth

Those were some fun fights, we pretty much went through the whole list!

DA is tons of fun, more so than the MA at times. I think people who want to expand their skills should give it a visit.

:aok

Now if only I could fly the 38...

Spent an hour or so in there early this morning with Shane. Although the MA is good for SA, there is no better training arena than the DA. Thats where you learn the feel for the plane. Where guys like Shane, Yucca can teach you the how and whys of the plane.

Leave your pride at the door. Nothing prevents learning more than a bruised ego. So go in, appreciating any time someone spends with you, ask alot of questions, and keep at it. Yes Im sure there are some in there that just want to make you look bad. Ignore them, there are plenty of good folk that are more than happy to help.

Ive seen people go for years, flying the same way, and not improving. They get to a "good-nuff" point and that coupled with reading a couple chapters of Shaw's book seems all the learning they need. Don't stagnate! Get in the DA today!
