Yellow line on nose cant be removed.  Its modelled onto the 38, so theres nothing you can do about it.

Aw, man...the same one I was working on...argh!

Seriously, though...look around for some more pictures of Miss Behavin.  You will get a better view of things like the bottom side, etc.  I found a lot of pics to help me in developing mine.

The dark area is a very dark green, not black.

The underside areas should be a white.

Paint the "Satan" bmp black as it is not on Miss Behavin.

Also, you will notice that the red tips on the bottom of the vertical stabilizers are smaller than the ones on the normal P-38 skin...you will want to trim these down a bit.

PS.  I like the nose art...any chance I can get a copy (please please please).

It almost looks like you're working in 256x256, judging by the panel lines. Is that 1024x1024? The noseart looks good but the rest looks under-sized.

Hiya Spade,
I agreed with Krusty on the first few pics, looked like ya did em in 256x256. First thing ya want to do on the skin is increase it to 1024x1024.
The panel lines look a little thick, I usually set my panels lines about 1 pixel in width. I have 2 sets of panel lines also, one white, one black. I'll offset the 2 by one pixel and adjust the opacity on both to get the 3d effect i'm looking for. I'll do the same with rivets.
I'm not sure if the paint program you're using allows you to do this, but using seperate "layers" makes doing everything ALOT easier. I have a layer for my white rivets, then have a seperate layer for my black rivets.
I'll make sure my layer for my panel lines and rivets are above
the camo layer, that way, when you adjust the opacity of the lines an rivets, they take on a more natural tone of the camo underneath.

Good start bro, keep playing with it :)

I think I know what it is!

He took the 256x256 and blew it up to 1024x1024, then he re-traced the panel lines...

Only...

He retraced exactly as the blown up 256 ones looked, "steps" and all.

Spade, when you take a 256 and blow it up to 1024, when you want to make the panel lines you might avoid step patterns like that by making a new layer, selecting the "line" tool, setting it to 1 pixel, and drawing a line from the point where it should start to the point where it should end. The line tool fills in a straight line between the two, thus avoiding as many steps as you can, and making the line look a lot cleaner, and realistic.

You can play with antialiasing, but I have so far left it off (I'm going to play around with it on my next skin)

This is a nit pick but check the rivets.  I think they are on the wrong side of the panel line both vertical and horizontal.
Easy in-game again.
