Need DOS Help
« on: September 07, 2004, 07:28:11 PM »
I'm trying to install Win98 on a lap top that the kids messed up. I get a message that tells me that if I was having problems installing windows in regular mode I will need to do it from DOS. Please what is the command for installing from DOS.

Let me clarify things a bit more ..... I want to re-install Win 98 from my C Drive by using DOS. Please what is the command?

Thanks,

Sprint

Boot from a win 98 start-up floppy.

boot from floppy
then when it gives you the option to start computer with cdrom support  click yes

put your 98se cd in and at the c:\ prompt   type

setup.exe
