Midnight or other Cali's: Canyon Road RV park?
« on: September 06, 2004, 05:08:36 PM »
I'm >< close from choosing Canyon Road RV park from about 3 I've researched (OrangeRV and Travelers World RV)...sounds about right for us in Febuary, Seen it or camped there?  We have a truck camper, plan on doing Disneyland, etc. for 11 days (4 days traveling)

Trying to avoid the asphalt jungle RV places closer to Disney and I hear that CRRV gives you alittle more room, 20 min. from Disneyland..

Rip you'll be fine.

it only seems to rain in Jan.  it should be sunny and in the 70's to mid 60's.  take Pacific coast high very nice drive.  Disneyland?  lol you will get bored after 6 hours.  But i do recomend you got to blue bayou.

if the kids are bad at resraunts then hide them, that place is really nice.  during 8th grade we went to disneyland and me and a bunch of friends went there,  awesome food i must.  But we did call in reservations almost 2 days earlier.

Rip California adventure is the best of the 2 parks imo.  has the only good rollercoaster.  then you can also go to knott's.

nah, dont swim in mid feb.  yea need a wet suit cause water will be high 50's to low 50's.

get as close to disney land as possible.  you don't want to get stuck in yorba linda hills.  the traffic is an absolute disaster.

ARE YOU GUYS NUTS??????

Rip don't plan on swiming in any california ocean in febuary unless its BAJA CALIFORNIA.

The pac ocean is cold even in the summer let alone feb.

BTW what's the closest major city?  You going to be down by LA or south of it closer to anahiem?

Ocean is too cold for casual swimming in the winter.

Disneyland will take at least a full day to do everything and another for the California Adventure park. This depends on age of your kids too.

Try to stay as close to the theme parks as possible, traffic is an absolute disaster and will eat up quite a bit of time.

Definately do Knotts Berry farm. Aftert the day there, go to a really nice dinner show at Midievel Times about 2 blocks north of Knotts.

thks all. Mav, we're in town for 7 full day, figure 2 or 3 at DL, then onto Knotsberry, the regular "I got young kids" routine. (Son's obsessed with medievil, that will be fun for dinner!)

B17--Boredom not a factor, its about the kids, not I. ;)

my grandparents own some appartments there.  we used to go in the summer pick up the rents and then spend the rest of te day at the beach.  it is very cold in winter.
