Vox very faint
« on: September 12, 2004, 10:21:57 PM »
I just installed a soundblaster 5.1 card and no one can hear me on vox now. Well, they can hear me but my voice is very faint. I have mic volume maxed in both windows and the game.....no idea where to go from here.

Btw, I had a soundblaster live card in before, upgraded to 5.1 so I can hear all 6 of my speakers......wife is going nuts now ;-)

Be sure you turn on "Mic Boost (20dB)" in the Recording options, under the Advanced button, under the Microphone Slider.

Sometimes if you go into the game and then alt-tab out or hit your windows key, then go and uncheck and recheck the mic boost it will then be louder. It used to work for me when I was using the 5.1 card
