Has it been done ;):lol

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

NASM Mustang in 353rd FG Markings.

I'm guessing the checks would be a problem wrapping around the nose?

You will get some stretching with the checkerboard skins.  There are a few out there and you can see how checkerboards are affected.

I will say this before you get started.  At the moment all the Mustang skins are taken up.  Not sure if HTC will do a cycle of skins at some point though.  Would be nice if it could happen.  Certain maps with certain skin sets.

Nefarious shoot me an email from our forum and I'll shoot you a basic template.

The hard part about doing checks is understanding how the skin is stretched over the 3D model.  Once that is known, it is possible to get a reasonable check pattern.

As to the question on the plane's nose, the answer is "yes, almost certainly."
