What is AGW ???
« Reply #15 on: November 30, 2000, 07:03:00 PM »
Sky Bax. I edited my post well before you replied because I re-thought about posting to you at all. why? Because you can be a p.i.t.a. and I figured I'd avoid seeing another posts if I removed mine. I see you are still here. Not a customer, not a community member. but yet, you are still lurking and posting here.

So why did I post that link? Because it is just one example of the childish and immature behavior to be found on AGW. Behavior that you seem to abhor and look down your nose at. At least on your shirt sleeve you do. Yet you and the Blue noses acted like a pack of Cub Scouts ready to defend the tree fort at the slightest transgression by the neighboring troop. And nothing is "personal" nor private when aired on a public forum Sky Bax.
I've not read an objective topic or discussion on AH over there in at least a year. Few started off a on an objective footing but they quickly degenerated into vile, spiteful and jeuvinile personal attacks on the posters who fly AH and evenutally to the company at HTC. If you see it otherwise you're in denial or outright playing games.

And to be objecite why didn't you post Wulfe and MG's topics that are in no way shape or form anything but spiteful and derogatory towards AH? Because objectivity you could care less about.

Wrong answer, that post was the FIRST POST on AGW in over a year that got positive feedback from the AGW community.

Its obvious, SkyBax, that you don't visit this board much.. do alittle thread searching, I've nary a word about Warbirds being bad, in here or AGW, I even defended WB's from those who do slam it.  My assessment is they both have something good to offer.  Hell ,I've said many times that WB's was my 'First Love' (Actually Dos-AW was, but couldn't afford to fly it as much)I have said it was outdated..which it is.

I encourage newbies to flight sims to fly WB's first before coming to Aces High.  Seems they have an easier transition to the online flight sims with WB's since they offer a larger planeset .

Try again Sky.

I can vouch that Rip1 gets ripped on AGW more then he gets praised

BTW, I see very little difference in the postings here and there. Some are good, some are bad but they are mostly focused on any one particular Sim.

The latest over in Warbirds is that there is a Midway scenario tomorrow 12/2, with a new terrain and multiple CVs.

And there will be an experimental "Expert Arena" being setup for experienced pilots only. Its not the same as the HA arena but similar and should be interesting to see how it gets populated.

Good luck on your MIDWAY scenario, Ram1, I Came-This-Close to opening up an account for it since I'm a big fan of PTO, however, just don't seem to have the time I had a few years back (2 and 4 yr old kids, hehe, gotta love em, but man, sucks up your time!)

Oh, and Ram1, I brought on alot of that harassment myself, once I found out how 'sensitive' some were on the competition, the  'evil' side surfaced, goading some of those 'sensitive' types on with my 'cheerleading', muhahahahaha!  (Never show weakness, I will exploit it!)

AGW is like this board, but there are some major differences:

1.  The name is different.
2.  They fly a different sim.

Lets get something straight Westy, somebody in the community challenged me in a duel publicly. I felt that should be done privatly unless that person is trying to prove something or is in need to inflate their ego. Hell, 2 days before he posted about squad duels and nobody responded. So he was just being himself and I accepted. A very important part of the story that is being left out is another squadie of mine directed cheating remarks to that squad and was bad timing for threads. He and his buddies then continued to drag the thread out and make immature comments and false accusations. I have no control over that, only control over what I say. I didn`t lower my standards to their level of name calling and such. Whatever my squaddies had to say in that post I have no control over either, only control over what I say.

So Westy, show me where my behavior was childish and immature in that thread? IMO all the BS was coming from them. What is it to you anyways? As far as my comment about that thread being personal you know what I meant, I worded it wrong. It wasn`t on subject about one`s sim info on another sims board, it was a 100% WB thread on the WB board about me. Better?

"Wrong answer, that post was the FIRST POST on AGW in over a year that got positive feedback from the AGW community."

No, wrong answer Rip. That is 100% false. That is one of your many AH posts that get a ton of positive feedback on AGW. I know because I see it and read it over and over. The majority likes to see it, thats what I see, and I call it as I see it.

"Its obvious, SkyBax, that you don't visit this board much.. do alittle thread searching, I've nary a word about Warbirds being bad, in here or AGW, I even defended WB's from those who do slam it. My assessment is they both have something good to offer."

You lost me there, I never said anything about YOUR personal comments toward either sim.

I read this board often, I have AH on my HD and I like the sim. It has some great features that WB doesn`t. I just prefer WB because IMO it offers so much more "overall"

"Never show weakness, I will exploit it"

You just said more about yourself than you realise. Exploiting other peoples weaknesses is the act of a very small person.

Bashwolf, I live in SW PA.

I was talking about the overall jeuvinile behavior Sky bax. I chose the topic as I knew it would probably cut close to home. Like you, I chose to use a broad brush to mark a community as childish due to minor elements.

Obviously you missed the point or you're just "into" semantics and word play.
