Well, I had a blast last night trying to defend a30 from an hour-long Bishop attack. Time after time I intercepted and dipatched Bishop buffs, some as high as 30K, some darn near down in the weeds. I was holding my own, with occasional help from other Knights, when I suddenly got the message, "Field 30 captured by the Bishops." Man, you really sneaked that one past. I don't even know if it was a Goon or an M-3 that got the troops in.
I had been carefully watching the field to see if the ack was down. As long as it was up, I felt no goon or M-3 could sneak in. Unfortunately, on my last sortie, I didn't look very hard...a Bish Typhie finally showed up to refocus my attention. One of those high-flyers must have killed the ack while I was tangling with the Typh.
Some constructive criticism, if I may. While you finally managed to take the field, it took much longer than it should have (given the meager opposition). The hangers were never closed, so I was able to keep launching. You did hit fuel repeatedly, but even with 25% a pony stays up a long time (long enough, anyways). Fuel limitations certainly made hitting your strato-buffers difficult, but not from effectively CAP'ing the field against medium- to low-alt threats. It was just chance that I didn't look in the right direction to see the troop carrier.
Only at the end, where one of you took a Typhoon to make my life more difficult by dividing my attention, did the grunts find their chance to rush the tower. Had you included a fighter early on, you likely would have had the field 40 minutes sooner.
In any event, Salute! I had a great time. Some really good fights came out of it. I was able to really polish up on my buff attack technique

. See ya up there!
