I'll posit one more interesting possibility....

The creators of Trivial Pursuit went on to become multi-millionaires. Is not within the realm of possibility that there existed a 5-year plan to cultivate a Voss 'mystique', if you will, then capitalize on said mystique through the creation of a Voss-based board game?

It's so outlandish that it just might work.
