typhoon skin

just finnished this typhoon,,
it has been an honour to do this skin as it is a replica of a squad mates (gromit) fathers typhoon who flew for 137 squadron..
its not been submitted yet as i want to give it a few weeks so i can look at it with fresh eyes for any changes..

I did this skin for AH1 a while ago, it got put in a few maps when we were still able to do that.

Do you have the photos of JP504?  Betown (as he was then) posted a few when he originally asked for the skin to be done, I assume you probably have more than I do.  There look to be a few differences between the pics I have and your skin:- I took it as having a black spinner rather than red and invasion stripes on only lower belly and wings as per Aug-Sep 1944.  "The" Tempest website http://user.tninet.se/~ytm843e/tempest.htm gives some good details on invasion stripe changes if you look under "In detail" and then "colours and markings".

I really enjoyed doing this last time, I was almost on the verge of revisiting it, you beat me to it

i got a number of pic from gromit taken over an unknown period..
some of the aircraft have invasion stripes all the way around the plane some only half way..depends on the time you want to show..i was unsure about the spinner, with no colour photos available. the pics i have are definatly not black.. but trawling through old books i came across a colour print of Flf Off AN Sames..the v1 ace (SF  S) his spinner is sky colour and i will be changing the skin spinner to match when i return for final changes..
