Any good KNOWLEDGABLE Skiiers in the house????

Hey guys,

I ski, really well, my problem is that I am not knowledgable enough about skiis.  I am a cross, snowboarder and skiier.  So, basically what I am asking, is this.

I bought a set of the new K2 AK Maidens...

they are fat, powder skiis that measure:

137/108/127 with a 10mm sidecut with double tips 179 overall.

The question is, I love powder skiing, but, I like the pipe, and moguls, and jumps.  SHould I take these back and get K2's Seth Pistols 128/95/118 and 179 overall....

OR... should I just buy a set of shaped double tips for the parks and mountain and keep the Maidens for backcountry and powder days?

well i have skiied in a while but let me try.

the double tips as in 1 in front and 1 in back?

i don't think those are for jump or monguls.

but i could be wrong.

Double tips as in both ends are the same, they are unidirectional so you can ski backwards etc, they are for the pipe/terrain parks

im also sorry, no disrespect, but how can you be a fan of both?

snow surfers have RUINED every ski hill i have ever gone to, destroying the snow, destroying the hills, and destroying the remote civility of sking.

i have yet to meet a snowboarder who is not an utter prettythanghole in every way humanly possible, pushing over children learning to ski, and disrupting everything they possibly can.

i have skied in michigan wisconsin, vail and breckenrigdge numerous times, and i guarentee you there is not a snowboarder on this planet i would lend a pole to in a ravine if they had a broken leg.

i actually "tried" it for a day last in brek... used an acquaintences board. he said i shoudl take ti up full time im a natural LMAO, yeah i used to skateboard back in the 80's.

there is no skill to sliding down a hill on a giant flat thing, chopping away and the last shred of snow there.

you want to surf goto cali, wanna skateboard in the winter goto florida.

please no offense, and stay with the skis, goto a regular, and approx 165 (depending on your weight) for more "extreme" skiing.

if you are like me (approx 200lbs) go woth a 170-175 MAX performance ski, and cut them moguls up.

Frankly man, I have been skiing and snowboarding since I got my first Burton Swallowtail in 85.  Love the board, especially in the woods, and of rdeep snow.  Lotsa fun at both Hoosier Pass and the others I hit on a regular basis.  Nothing quite like the feeling of weightlessness on a phat powder day.  

I ski too, love the moguls, and steeps.  Heli'in is a lot easier I think in skiis, but I have done it both ways.  Would never consider dropping 50+feet on a board, but never second think it on skiis.  

As for stunninghunks on both ends, yeah, there are a lot of stunninghunk boarders as well as skiiers.  So, it goes both ways.  I have skiied and boarded on 3 continents, and 6 different countries, and to tell ya the truth, the Americans act the worst on the mountains.  Sad fact of life, but most americans are obnoxious arrogant buttholes who need a good arsewhuppin...

Anyways, I decided to stay with the Maidens so far, I want some better Powder skiis, will see if I can pull off another set without touching my budget....
