USA/Iraq human interest story you might like (long)
« on: September 14, 2004, 02:26:44 PM »
I'm sure some of you are aware of this story already, but the SF Chronicle did a three part story on it.  It's about the Iraqi boy who picked up an explosive and severely wounded himself.  By rights he shouldn't be here.  It is also the story of how we stepped up and showed the kind of compasion and medical capabilities we have.

It is a long read, but given how hot a topic Iraq is I thought some of you might like to read it.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Events that show American compassion and good will aren't hot topics.  Only death, destruction, quagmire, and NO BLOOD FOR OIL.

That was clearly the most dishonest and perhaps the most disguisting part of Farenheit 911...

Ah well, so much for trying to be nice.

It is absolutely disgusting how fast you partisan zealots, all of you, sink to the lowest common denominator.  It is as though you go out of your way to intentionally antagonize eachother and dibilitate any chance of community as Americans.

Don't give me some BS about them starting it first or them being unreasonable.  That is all just juvenile crap and excuses for your own inability to act as a responsible and rational adult.

All this partisanship is doing is undermining us.
