Having done this before (wedding photograher) I can give you some advice. Expect that the worst possibility IS possible. Use a photog that has BOTH digital and 35mm. The film will give you higher defintion for larger photos but the digital gives you more flexibility and does not have the processing disaster possiblity. I had THAT one happen, fortunately they were able to crop the large scratch in the film out.

You can transfer each format to the other if you want. CD's may sound like permanent storage but they are not really foolproof and they can degrade losing all yout pix. There is no guarantee that in 10 years they can even be read anymore. (remember 5.25 floppies?) Film negatives are stable and have a LONG track record for maintaining memories. Get the negatives from the photog and store them safely.

Good luck on your wedding and marriage. :aok
