is the 109F4/R6. For you non-luftweenie speakers out there, the R6 stands for a field modification that adds wing gondolas to it. It's a great little plane that can turn pretty well. It's a lot of fun in the new furballing environment that 1.05 has given us. So if you see some idjit doing crazy manuevers on the deck with about 20 enemies around him, it's most likely me. Never had so much fun in any ride except the 190A5 and the La5FN.. but with 3 cannons it's a great little ride. :-)
I'm crazy, I'm low and I'm slow so come on down 'n try to kill me I love a good fight! <G>
S! to all.

It is a nice plane, and you need the gondolas to offset the 2 Red Ryder BB guns mounted in the cowling

Hehehe SeaWulfe - can understand ya very good! The Friedrich with gondolas is deadly as hell and a perkies monster!! Flew it very often this and last tour. And it isn't that slow - especially on the deck. Always great fun when they mistake ya for a G10 and start turning...

But my favourite at the moment is G6 with Mk108 - got a hang for the big gun again...   <S> GMan... :P

Letting the cat out of the bag!!!!

What is wrong with you people??  Let people know the F4 is a terrible, underpowered plane that is an easy kill.

Let me set things straight.  The 109F4 is an underpowered, compression pig! Do not fly it!!  It will kill you!

JG2 flys it alot but only because we are a LW squad and we feel it is our duty to fly it!

AKSeaWulfe, Jochen, and Kirin could I speak to you three in my office?

[Closes the Door]

"What in the hell is the matter with you three?  Letting people know what a sweet ride the 109F4 is? People think it is a inferior aircraft, so lets keep it that way!"

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

hm... I bumped into Nath a couple nights ago when both knit and bish forces were attacking the rook mainland. Three of us were on him, squaddie Hajo in a spit, me in a f4u-1d, another i don't recall.  When the other bish went down and I saw who made the kill in the buffer I knew I had to be careful.  It was later down to Nath and me in a merge.  I wondered if he thought I was going to HO him.. so instead I put some separation at the merge and just went right on by and flipped the film on (I don't normally go for HO). I looked back and watched him immelman, roll upright and began tossing rounds at me. I was a little too far away already however and fortunately I didn't try to do something stupid in that merge. I left since I knew I wasn't about to dogfight what looked like a 109G6 or F4 (due to the black nose). Turned out it was an F4 with gondolas after I asked Nath.

I haven't tried the 109F4 online yet, but I do take the G2 up on occasion. I don't like the feel with the gondolas on, so I fly without them most of the time; just have to get in closer to compensate. It was fun defending a field one night along with other bish and catching f4u's and f6f's off guard in the G2.. until a Yak came along.

I check all 109's closely for markings now. That F4 flat turn will not surpise me again.

Nice plane.. I treat all 109's with respect; however, the 109f4 gets my attention first.

What's a young pup like me to do when all the vets are exhausting all the supplies of sheep before I even get a chance to roam the prairies and fields in search of my one true love? Gotta do something productive with my time! <G>

Wow... this took a turn for the worse! LOL
