HELP! Anyone recommend A3 portable colour photocopier?
« on: September 24, 2004, 03:03:26 AM »
Hi

I'm trying to source a portable colour photocopier.  Currently we're using full size copiers since we're struggling to get anything smaller.  We've tried Canon, Konica Minolta and Danka but nothing fits the requirement.  We're unable to source from Xerox because of contract issues but we might be able ignore that if they can supply the correct piece of kit.

Requirements:

Colour (for map copying)

A3 Paper compatible (slightly bigger than 'Ledger' size - 297mm x 420mm/11.7" x 16.5")

Toner with built in fusing (so no fuser oil required)

Portable - ability to be carried by one person (two at a push).  So idealy desktop size.  Two paper trays is ideal.

Durable - will be used on ships, transported on aircraft and used in harsh climates

If photocopier too large then a laser A3 colour printer with A3 scanner attached without the need of a PC

Duplex (2 sided copying) not essential

Anyone have recommendations?  Any USAF suppliers know what they use for deployments?

Thanks in advance!
