Hurricanes are weird. After they pass, it's the most beautiful weather there is. It's like a huge vacuum cleaner, and cleans the environment.
Ivan was kinda scary, and I was in my house. No damage but plenty of high pitched wind sounds. Power was out here for five days. Nothing compared to Frederick when it hit Mobile. It was a sustained Cat 4 hurricane and was terrifying. The eye passed over our house and I went outside for 20 minutes when the wind started blowing the other direction. We lost 70 pine trees on a quarter acre lot.
