You know, I thought a minute before hitting the submit button and knew the goodie-brigade would come waltzing in bringing up accusations of anti-semitism and racism. Glad the BBS high and mighty did not disappoint. Its not really the fact of the religion that caused the reaction, it was that this one school was set above the others. Yes, I am not privvy to the inner workings of our threat information collecting center, their only reasoning given on TV was that "somewhere" in MD a man of Saudi descent was seen filming a private Jewish school. Are we to assume that just because a man of Saudi descent was NOT seen filming a Christian school they are safe? We are all equally targetted and very vulnerable. As stated by another, the 100K isn't going to go very far, is this a real attempt to safeguard these kids and staff or is it a feel-good "vote-chip" that he can cash in later?
If I'm off-base and there is a viable threat then egg on my face, its just how I am to stick my foot in my mouth then ask questions. If not then I'm wondering just what the political motivations were for this move.
Oh, and Nash, the day that I lose sleep over worrying about "credibility" on a BBS is the day I smash my computer and take up needle-point.
