And so it begins.........

I thought it was tough being a parent of babies and very small toddlers.

Well, once they hit 5 years old they begin to get into extra curricular activities.

Today, football practice at 7.45am...followed by Aikedo at 10.30am.

I'm just very grateful there is no ice-hockey here.  I've heard horror stories of 5.00am wake-up for 6.00am practices.

It is really great fun though.  Best possible way to spend quality time with the kids.

:D :aok

Today:

9:15 am--2nd Grade Soccer Game

12:00 pm--4th Grade Soccer Game

1:30 pm--2nd Grade Baseball Game

3:00 pm--4th Grade Baseball Game

Monday

6:00 pm--2nd Grade Baseball Game

6:30 pm--4th Grade Baseball Game

I am a coach on all of those.

Yes, I've put them into 2 sports at the same time.  Soccer and Baseball, but those are the 2 sports they enjoy the most, so, I now have no life, especially on the weekends.

I do not have my boys on any "competitive" league teams yet.  Once you cross that threshold out here, you have to be dedicated to that sport almost exclusively, and I'm not willing to limit their choices at this young age, nor do I think the kids get anything out of being on those teams at this age.....except maybe burnt out.
