Few months back over here a plane crashed when coming to land.
Eye wittnesses said it went almost straight down after stalling or something and the wreckage had pretty much just the cockpit left - the pilot wasn't too badly injured.

However this year has been quite bad for small planes - 8 casualties in 6 crashes or so :I

Yep, lots of accidents this year. The freakest one was the two seater ultralight. The plane was flying on it's back when the pilot fell out, then the plane landed on it's back badly injuring it's passenger.
