Track does look good, I was a tad concerned when I heard it was designed after the Chinese symbol for S but it looks interesting - just hope obviously that it's good for overtaking.

25 for a grandstand ticket I've heard, a track pass on open day shouldn't be too expensive ;)

Looking at the map of the track I'd say there would be plenty of overtaking opportunities.

S is a symbol.  Why would they have a symbol for a symbol?  :)

The drivers and teams love it and say its the best designed track they have ever seen followed by Bahrain. The BAR cars looks better now too with their new colours.

-edit- it seems that only A Davidsons car has a diff colour.

Not sure, just watched qualifying and it looked pretty flat but they all do on TV. It's built on reclaimed marsh land so I guess any rise would be minimal.

Just what F1 needed, another sterile, featureless, cookie-cutter, go-kart track.
We need more tracks like Spa and Suzuka, not more copies of Magny-Cours.

Chinese doesn't have anything for 'S' at all, because it doesn't have an alphabet. Alphabets are for sissies. ;)

So the chinese character for 'S' is 'S'.

For the masochist skeptics: Install simplified Chinese on your PC and go to this page from the same site - http://www.pcauto.com.cn/news/yjpl/medium/0409/136406.html

They use 'S' there for the 'S' in SPARK, but the rest of the page is all in Chinese.

Thanks for the education guys :)

Man, I should've just left the whole 'S' thing alone. I'm still pretty confident the track is built on a marsh, although technically it could be a swamp ;)

Either way, any track that has Schumacher between the two Minardis at the back of the grid has got to be good.

Maybe this race will be more interesting, with schumi in the back.
He actually spun around...

and bets on the table:

1. how many laps can mclarens hold up, before becoming short lived steam engines

2. Can barichello do it and whos with hes going to be competing.

3. can schumacher win the race against the odds

4. will there be a pile up in the start
