Interesting new server format for Il2:FB/AEP

No, not the 128 player one...

But the current 64 player one, which appears to have introduced far more customobility than it ever had.

You have to register a pilot to play on the server (free) so that your stats are kept and no one else can fly as that name. It rotates through various maps, this really isn't new, depending on if time runs out on the map or if a victory condition is met (targets destroyed, pilots killed, or planes destroyed). It also communicates with a website (currently 32 player servers also can do this) which allows for a central statistics database display point. There's also a track of whose the top x number fighter pilots or bomber pilots.

Now they've introduced a method to allow players to gain rank and be awarded medals. Kind of neat, really doesn't effect what you can fly or do, just more of a show.

Here's the website for the latest generation of Il2:FB/AEP servers:

BTW, not selling the product and this has nothing to do with promotion. Just wanted to share this stuff with people who may want to try it out in addition to AH.
