Hie Kev,

Aeromaster Decals are generally reliable.  The photo included is the only one I have in my books that shows an SEAC FBVI.  It doesn't show enough to see the squadron codes, but you can clearly see the camo demarcation lines so it has upper and lower camo.  And it was standard to paint the fighters in that camo scheme so I'd go with it.

Looks great btw :)

Looking at pic -

1) It appears as though it has a rear fuselage band?
2) Possibly has upper SEAC ID stripes. Look at rudder just above SEAC tail flash, and leading edge outboard of engine?

Wow!  Good eyes :)

Certainly looks to have the sky tail band.  I wonder if it was early after delivery before it might have been painted out?

I've seen photos of Spits with the Sky band still there too.

As you can probably tell, I'm big on photo back up :)  Image of a mix and match SEAC Spit XIV trio with all kinds of differences in the markings in the same Squadron.

Front with black serial, sky tail band, gray/green camo.

2nd with white serial, no tail band, gray/green camo

back with green brown camo, black serial if at all.

I guess it leaves room for some artist discretion :)

Hard to say about the wing stripe.  Time to start digging deeper in my library I guess

If you look closely at the leading edges of both wings, each is lighter where a upper SEAC band would be.
Does your pic say which sqn the mossie is from, from that I can get squdron codes etc?

Not sure on the squadron Kev.  The caption doesn't say.

Might want to post a question for the Mossie experts on the forum at:

http://www.mossie.org/

I'm thinking someone there would know for sure.
