Some Salute, with some delays.
« on: December 02, 2000, 11:44:00 PM »
Sorry guys, I've been buzy those days. I needed to Salute HBlair and countrymen for a fun furball days ago where no Spits/Nikis showed up for a while. Fun time.

Big Salute to Mathman. I had the opportunity to dogfight him in his yak 3 times. First I could stay in his 6 after he pinged me till I ran out of fuel (fuel leack ... nasty ) Second time, I came heavy and low, I thought it was a friendly  , I just had time to jettison before he blasted me out of the sky.

Last fight was one of my best in AH in a 1 vs 1. At 10K he came high on my six, I could dogde him till we entered a vertical turnfight who lasted ... well long ...   Finally we ended on the deck, still trying to turnfight his yak. We ended the show with a HO where I got my eng hit. It was my last chance, I was already around 110-140 KIAS doign my best to turn.

Then arrived a yak, P51 and maybe a niki on the scene, I was out of Wep, and already on the deck at 130 KIAS. I was expecting to die pretty quick, but my P47 thought she was a Zero, and miracuously I could survive for 10 good minutes with all the panoply of barrel rolls and rolling scisors. I then learned that my attackers were my good friends the Thunderbirds, Bloom, Gritz and Wolf. Salute to those gentlemen, it's always a pleasure to dogfight you guy (next time, one at the time please  ). It was funny, at times, Bloom in his yak were overshooting me, we were canopy to canopy, but when ahead of me, he was going vertical, I could never point my guns more than 20 degrees above the horizon... grrrr...

To Hblair, Mathman, Gritz, Bloom and Wolf, thank for the fun times! (Someone said the MA was borring?)

Frenchy, P47 dweeb.

Hi Frenchy <S>

Sorry about the gangbang..hehe   I hung around on a high cap (pony) 'till I saw you were just  playing around with my squad mates.LOL...Man..you can make that jug dance!!Up, down, turn!!! Looked like you were on an elastic there. I think I finally got the kill...but you were busy at the time.

Did you ever get that drink you were looking for afterwards?

Nice post frenchy, those fights where you're outnumbered on the deck and somehow you win, are always my favorites. Thanks for the story.

Frenchy

Thanks for the fights, they were awesome!!!  The last fight was absolutely incrredible, neither one of us could get any real kind of advanage.  Big <S> to you, I have never seen anyone fight a jug like you do.  Simply incredible!

I can't shoot in the yak.  I just thought it would be fun to team up with Math and have a "Yak attack."    LOL, I probably overshot you 6 times in that fight, every time I landed maybe 1 or 2 12.7mm or cannon rounds.  You sure weren't an easy target, that jug can really move with the right pilot. <S!>

I filmed the fight, but it looks like I posted the wrong one.  I'll fix it Monday afternoon that way everyone can see how badly I fly the yak.

The current film is of me scissoring all over the place in an la5.

hiya Frenchy:

yeah I was there as well, and I am just to ticked off at you, you where not flying straight and level and I could not line you up. Now the next time, you better be flying straight and level, none of this super flying that you do, it makes me look really bad.
And I dont need any help looking bad.

Major salute to you Frenchy, you really can make that P47-30 sing.
