Author Topic: Need help or mirror downloading a patch (Read 127 times)

Since recently I am unable to download patches/updates from HTC website from my office PC.
I can download them from the mirror sites but they do not have the most recent patch.

It looks like that for some reason the URS addresses specified in IP notation (ftp://208.221.133.59/AH....) cause "..... Try connecting again" message.

Could someone please advise me or point to a mirror with the most recent patch?

i can send it to ya via e-mail or can try to put it on ftp at my work. tell me if you are interested (ftp are located in Poland so i dunno how good transfer you can have)

clear your DNS table - might be that error from few weeks ago creeping up again.

Check HOSTS file in your windoze directory - see if there is an entry for HTC there.. . if so - remove it.

The hosts files are are default ones and have not been touched since the machine was built.

The DNS issues are out of my power (since I am in the office).
Guys,
I could send an e-mail to myself from home (have no problem downloading there) but it is inconvenient, especially with the full versions. I do not want to attract the sysadmin attention with huge files and the free yahoo mail will allow patch but not the full version - I only have 6 megs there.
So I would rather download the files from a website.

It seems that my DNS server or whatever does not like non-symbolic URLs but I am not sure.

I use my office machine mostly to give people demos of the AH. And of course checking new versions when I cannot wait to get home.

Ok, it's there and I chmod 644ed it so you can get it. Let me know once you get it so I can pull it down.
