The members of the 325th Fighter Group (Virtual) recognize the trials and tribulations inherent in being a Fighter Pilot during World War Two. We understand the difficulties and sacrifice of that period in history, and do not want the heroism of those fine men to be forgotten. Therefore, we strive to pay homage to those fine Gentlemen through, what we feel is the sincerest form of flattery, re-enactment of their actions in a virtual environment.
Our main area of flying is the Combat Theater, but we also fly Squad Operations and Snapshots if we can.
Sunday @ 9:00pm est, Tuesday @ 10:00pm est, and Thursday @ 10:00pm est
What we want from our New Recruits:I. Willingness to have fun, to be respectful of other people in the squad, and have fun without the cost to other people in the Fighter Group. All Cadets must be 18 years or older, paying member of the Aces High Community, and have a microphone.
II. As in real-life, we place a heavy emphasis on training in both combat and non-combat flying, as well as the tactics and strategies of the day to enable us to be the best flyers we can be. Such as communications, standard operating procedures, and tactics.
III. Research the history of the unit, and its personnel, and make efforts to become the online equivalent of a "Re-enactment" group, actually designing missions that reproduce missions flown by the 325th.
IV. As a member of 325th FG, you are expected to participate in Squadron events and email discussions of tactics and events. Maintaining the Squadron takes time and we need people who are committed to becoming a productive member of a team, a team player.
V. Once you are using our squadron name in your handle (i.e. Stream14 "325th FG Checkertail Clan”), we expect you to be an ambassador for our squadron in the Aces High community. If we hear of un-sportsmanlike conduct in any medium, the CO and the XO reserves the right to expel that pilot from the roster.
Missions:The 325th flies at least one planned mission a week, we have a great Opord Team that plans a mission for the week.. each pilot gets a breif and things just roll from there.
We also do joint mission in the CT with the 880 and VMF-312th, we try to make it fun for everyone in the CT.
Aircraft:Our main aircraft is the P-51D, but we also fly the P-47D and the P-40 depending on the CT. Any chance we can we will be in the P-51.
We have contact with two living 325th Pilots "Colonel" Arthur Fiedler and Dennis Parker. They keep updates on how the squad is doing and gives us some stories of the 325th in World War ll.
