I score it 60 / 40 Kerry. Bush fumbled.

Sweet Jesus, now the second string is babbling how they are gonna "accelerate" Iraqi training in Iraq.  How they gonna do that?  All this "we are gonna" crap, never one single detail about these miracles they are gonna make happen.

Anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention has to wonder why Kerry thinks he can do any of the crap he says he will, and why he can succeed in ways better than anyone else can.  Seems extremely arrogant and naive.

I wouldn't want that fool running the PTA, much less a country.

Talks about how the troops don't have body armor, when he voted against buying it.

Talks about spending money on homeland security instead of Iraq, then says he gonna make them miracles happen in Iraq.

Says Bush not spending any money on homeland security, got quickly slapped down the the actual facts.  (really looked stupid there)

Kerry, the next "also-ran".

Well then Bush wins overall.

Kerry was supposed to be soooooooo much smarter and "nuanced" that he should have trounced Bush 99/1.  Anything less is an effective Bush victory.

Imaging Nash curled up bed tonight in the fetal position mumbling over and over "kerry won, kerry won, kerry won, kerry won".

:rofl

Considering the debate was on foriegn policy this is what I got from it.

My debate assesment:

Bush:

"wrong war at the wrong time" quote was good but said too many times at the wrong time.  Good point to make but reiterate (SP) your point by not saying the same thing.

Hammered Kerry for multiple positions wich he's guilty of but didn't make the case completly.

Stammered and stuttered...comon of bush but not usually in depates.  Needed to speak a clearly and make his points more conciese

Kerry:  (and I am making my best attempt to be unbiased here)

Made a strong point against N. Korea and Iran but failed to follow through and lost it when he wanted the US to take a more direct approach and not follow through with his "global" thinking.  Wrong argument.

Actually took a stance on Iraq but failed to "clerify" his position on iraq.  He's got points for winning the war but did not make them

Went after Bush for failure to act "global" in alot of issues but got hammered when Bush made the point that "global" policy shouldnt determin US national security.

Overall I think Bush played it safe and Kerry went all out and fell short.  Kerry left himself wide open to Bush but he went right back to "talking points" wich don't do it for me or other swing voters.

Kerry OTOH spout like a shotgun.  He was all over the place hammering Bush on Iraq policy of poor planning and Afganistan for using warlords (wich I think is the wrong message) then moving on to sudan for lack of intervention (Ummm last I checked the UN is dealing with this wich is what he wanted) and then to Iran and N. korea.  Not a clear point made on the issue

either way I can't say anyone spanked the other...was a decent debate.  Bush was given the opertunity to win and missed it......Kerry was given the opertunity to define himself and missed.

Both candidates had problems delivering..
Bush lost by being on defense
Kerry lost by flopping on issues

I wasn't impressed by either candidate....

I give it a 50/50

But of course everyones horse won the race...

Oh man....

Kerry won this, huge...

If you're not convinced yet, we get another two of these before it should become crystal clear.

Something tells me Geedub is backed up on his heels after tonight, and Kerry is ready for the kill shot.
