Mostly very nice job.

But ...

The AH Spitfire cockpit framing has be the ugliest.

If that is a Spitfire V why the 'e' wing with inbord MGs ?

Actually, I think it's just a new spitfire ix.
As far as the Spit V....only up to  the Vb had the out board .303's.  After the Vc and so on, it went to inboard .50's

Hiya Rifle,
Agree with ugly, but I'll trade ugly for a 3D, ajustable seat ,scrollable views, high resolution cockpit any day.

I think the views need some additional limitations put in.

I'd also like to see them lose the "head bob" effect.  I find it makes the flight model more difficult to judge with (what appears to be) the aircraft jiggling about.  Commendable idea, but I don't think it works on a PC.  Hi Fi Flight models need a stable view, in my opinion.

I'd also love to be able to pan my head quickly with my mouse (as in EAW, WWII Fighters, F/A-18, and F-15).  Right now, the panning is near useless with its slow speed and need to select a whole new view system (F8).

And anyway, with us now being able to look up & down, why not go ahead and put in the historical cockpits?  It'd go a long way towards making each aircraft truly unique & interesting.

I think this cockpit looks alot more "finished" than the others. Especially the guage panel blending into the rest of the cockpit as opposed to the older style cockpits. The framing looks a little too angular  (although that could just be me   ) but the guages themsleves are excellent - very clear and sharp.

It's nice to see the improvement, and perhaps the "beta excuse" was actually legitimate (hehehehehehehe) and they plan on upgrading the rest of the cockpits.

PS, ivedog makes very good points - I agree totally.
