Hello,
I have an ASUS A7N8X MB....I came home from work today and the thing was completly locked up....NO cnt alt del....no mouse no nothing.
I reset the computer and when the board POSTed it had one really long beep (or could have been a bunch of beeps meshed together)
The HDs spun up but all I got on the monitor was a blank screen and blinking pwr light.
Tried swapping RAM.....took out everything but video card and HD....all this no help.
The heatsink was hot but I figured that was normal. I let it cool down and same thing.
I tried to clear the bios using the jumper and battery no help.
Could this be the CPU overheat protection kicking in. I'm searching the asus forums right now but if anyone has any experience w/ this I could use the help
