He proved to many that it is better to live than to give up. A true American hero.

On a side note, not many are aware that Robin Williams has been quietly paying over $400,000 a year to cover all of Reeve's medical expenses since his insurance ran out. There are heroes everywhere.

Yeah, I was hoping to see him walk again, too. The Superman curse continues.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

SUPERMAN IS DEAD, LONG LIVE SUPERMAN.

Had the chance to meet him once, in 1990, helped him prepare his boat, the ANGLE, for a sailing race off the coast of RI. A really down to earth gentleman, no pretense about him, was really appreciative of my help, and respected my knowledge.

God Bless you Chris.

He was the kind of person who was successful at just about anything he tried.  I bet in another ten years he would have been able to move (granted stem cell research was allowed).

Exactly

Thankfully it's accepted in most places, there have been allready great results from it.  Russia is at the top in this field I believe.
