Slow down land grab at low periods

Might disable bomber formations during off peak periods.
Just saw 2 Lancs devastate a base in 2 passes. Might be that Big Buff drivers are getting tooooooo good.
Say at times when total players is under 180 or so?

No.  If you don't want a bomber devastating a base you gotta up and protect it.

As much as I hate flying buffs, I feel some sympathy for them.

Why? They have a complete lack of targets which; simulate the role they played historically and have an impact in the game and bombing airfields is all they have to affect the (boring but some like it) land grab in the game.

Bombers need something to hit, I'm not talking about refineries that end up behind the lines and get milk-runned to death. What they need is something like the Spit Factories like AW had but on a much larger scale.

What Delerium said,  and  make some kind of "fix" to where it is 10 times more difficult to drop at 2k or less alt verses being higher alt for  the big bombers :D

pork&die flyers are becoming a nuisance

So we do need to do something about Bombers and Base porking.
I feel no sympathy for Bombers. They have a great advantage 1v1.
2 of them can pork a base before anyone can up to defend.
I'm just about the land grab that happens from about 2 am to about 6 am New York time. Very few up to defend anything.
Seems that the few have a greater advantage than should be allowed.

Just saying, you have every right to agree or disagree without fear.

I get on at most times but those hours would be classed as my prime time when most of the folks over the water are tucked up in bed, but I don't see that as a reason to penalise people.

I have never been on when one country has no players what so ever and although there are periods where one country has the numbers (sometimes the same for your prime time) there has always been enough enemy to form some sort of defense of a base. I've managed to thwart a couple of attacks with a solo defense.

On the other hand I've also managed to take over a base solo with two LVT runs and an M3 run. It wasn't as though it was a lightning strike and my country was outnumbered but I reckon the enemy were more concerned with stat building than worry about territory.:rofl

I have to admit it's frustrating :mad: when you're on the receiving end of a Land grab day but the next day might be your countrys turn to dish it out, as all countrys do it.

Strategic Targets

Here, here.

Bring back the strategic targets!!!   Not just the current strats, but something for the buff pilots to go after, more analogous to the war.

Jet factories, aircraft factories, bearing factories, etc...

Give them a good reward for hitting the target.

Air Warrior Classic had this...it was great.  Air Warrior II took away the points, and left the entire buff corps without any real targets.  

Aces High II can bring back these hard targets and incent the buff pilots who endure the long, high flights.

C'mon you been here long enough to know that defending your own base is almost an unthinkable option for alot of people.

and why do that when you can petition sometimes successfully HTC to change the game so you dont haveto.;)

they are only milkers if you dont defend.
If your not willing to defend then My opinion is ya have no right to complain about milkers

but I dont see that many milkers anymore Most strike missions I see are against active bases being used.

what happens when Im not here I couldnt care less about.
