The French come up with a good idea a couple of times each century.  This looks like one of them:

Yup the title of the thread is sure to draw the masses.

And I agree it is a good idea.
Need to put em in resturants as well as movie theaters.

Everytime I se someone on a Cell in a resturant I get this almost uncontrolable urge to snatch it away from them and smash it on the floor.
Or shove it up their....

I'd like to see it mandatory the they put something in cars as well that prevents Cells from working properly whiloe the engine is running

There is a nice jammer in the cinema in usualy go.

He is 2 m+ tall weight about 100kg (pur muscle) with a Tshirt on wich you can read :

si tu sonne...
Je te sonne

That mean something like :

if you ring ...
I knock out you

So, how are they going to jam mobile phones from working while still allowing them to work for emergency calls?  Also, is there any system in place to check up on these places to make sure that their jamming doesn't extend past their property?  Without more info, it sounds like a terrible idea to me.  Though, I am annoyed as much as the next guy with the sweetheart bags who can't be without their mobile phones for the two hours it takes to watch a movie.

Yeah.  And what about those of us that wisely use text messaging instead of voice calling in theaters or restaraunts?  Are they going to punish us too?

In my opinion, it's just as rude to use your mobile for text messaging in a theater.  It may be a small device, but the backlighting really stands out in a dark theater and can be distracting.  In resturaunts, on the other hand, I don't see why it's a problem for someone to use their mobile phone, provided they're not raising their voice above normal resturaunt conversation level.

I still think that good old "Danger! LASER radiation!" signs meant something, so I feel like I need to catch kids in the underground playing with laser pointers and tear their ears off.

The worst thing I saw was on a rock concert, when some imbecile pointed at the face of a guitar player during a long solo. I really wanted to find him and burn his eyes with this stupid Chinese toy

With such jammers you'll get stuck forever: "I try to make a call for 5 minutes and nothing happens!"
