Just for the record the TI 4600 easily outclasses the 5200 or 5200U in almost every benchmark test ive ever seen and had Mixed results against the 5700...according to Tom's Hardware VGA tests . But regardless $75 may be a lil High i will take $50+$5 shippng. If i cant get $50 i might as well keep it never know it might come in handy as a spare

Ti4600 was a BEAST... much better card than 5200!  I agree... keep the card and build a backup pc as time/money permits.

you need to step up to a 5600 or 9600 pro to beat a ti4600 its a great card .. and 50 Bucks for one is a generous price for one . (I see them on ebay going for 75-145 $$$  range still )
I think 100 is to much though for a 4600 cause you can get a 9600pro for 109 brand new .

You'd be surprised how good these "old " cards are. Even a Ti500 can surprise.

I still run on my "old" Ti4600.  I've no intentions of upgrading for quite a while.  I get very acceptable framerates in every game I play.

Mayhem, the 4600 engine outclasses and outperforms the 5200 in every way.  The 5200 was marketed as the "value" line card.  Of course you can find them for the prices you've listed as that is the market segment they are intended to be sold in.  The only reason it acquired a higher major version number was because it was based on the next generation chipset, which happened to introduce native dx9 support.  You want to compare the nVidia cards, then do the 4600 justice and compare it to the card that replaced it: the 5900/5950 series.

well thats all I'll pay for it sorry, If I buy it from him thats all I'm willing to pay 50 bucks max. Iam only going to throw it into a stand by system or my kids puter any way. If I was him I'de do the same. If he still wants to sell and can't get anyone to buy it at that price I'll buy for a 50 bucks. If he can't get some one to buy it at 75 then sell it to them they need it more then I do and Are willing to pay for it. Iam not big into GF cards, but considering my stand by and kids puters only have gf mx400's I can stand to find a higher preformance Card for these sytems if I can get it cheap. My rig has a radeon 9800 pro aiw. the only other cards I have is an old radeon 64 VIVO and a really old rage IIc that Iam going to stick in either a linux box or on a server system. Fauxbra if no one has picked it up yet at what your asking and your not going to keep for a stand by system let me know if your willing to part with it for 50 bucks out the door.

And he said that he would take $50 for the card, so I don't have an issue with that.  The issue I took was your comparison of the 4600 to the 5200 series.  Your comparison was like saying a 2004 Civic is better than a 2003 Corvette because the Civic is from a newer model year.

No basically Iam saying is he has a used unwarrentied part with new and possibly faster parts out on the market for less or the same. I didn't know the 4600 outpreformed the 5200 but I also listed a 5700. I don't think Ive ever seen a dirX comparison between a 4600 and 5200 or 5700. also the 4600 is a dirx 7 part and the 5200/5700 are at least dirx8 or 9 parts. I was assuming they are faster I also can't find any up to date pricing on the 4600 becuase it's an out of date product.  So if you have an issue with what I posted, not to be rude but then you buy the card. personally I don't like nvidia cards I only use them for hand me down and back up systems. I'm willing to pay 50 out the door for it MAX if he doesn't want to sell it to me at that price (if he values it that much he shouldn't and should use it for a back up card or in a second system) or hold out for a higher bidder. Money talks. if some one else wants the card more then me and is willing to pay for it or he doesn't want to part with it or sell it to me then so be it, no har fealings.

the Ti 4600 came out along the same time as the Ati 9500 but there bolth discontinued ..
there bolth dx 8 cards and are very similar in there performance .
(theres dx 8 on my ti4600's drivers disk )

I think the 9500 was Ati's anser to the ti4600 i believe .

the fx 5200 is nvidia's (poor man's card ) not a bad card here but not quite up to the Ti 4600's performance . (I run a very graphic intense Cad program on a ti4600 and it works great ,along with playing AH2 all thru beta on it ,I had way less problems on the 4600 then I do/did trying to get my 9600pro to run AH2 nicely)

Hell if i had the spare change id pay 55 for it right now .
