seems that way, dive bombing a heavy is about as easy as dive bombing a p47, just 2 of the heavies carry more ord.

Bleh, no need in typing more.  I just don't think theres any way to bomb in a heavy than a level bomb run.  Thats just IMO.

Yeah, maybe, but I'm more accurate with the bombsight from 12,000ft than I am stoop bombing with the Mossie from 750ft.  My accuracy from 20,000+ft is not at all bad either.

Same as I.  I can divebomb, but not great at all.  I have a much higher chance to hit a target from 12,000 feet level than going down at 1000 feet.

The Germans didn't make anything BUT divebombers, He-111 was a divebomber as well. Even their "heavy" bombers were designed as divebombers as well. That's why they suxd. You can't dive bomb large planes like that.

JB42,

I'm pretty sure that the He111H and Do17 were not dive bombers.  They, and the Fw200, were originally airliners and were never built to divebomb.  The Ju88 was designed to do so from the get go.

Just look at the Heinkel's bomb racks, no way that bird was
able to dive bomb.
