Size has no real meening when it comes to 3d programing. It basicly comes down to as long as everything is in the correct scale to eachother the units makes no differenct. What give you the concept of size when look at the monitor is your mind telling you how big things are in real life. I.E. put a person standing by a plane, it gives you perspect on how big a plane realy is.

Think of it this way, if you were looking at a scale train set threw a very small minture window, or if you were looking at the exact same real train threw a real window. The picture you saw would be indentical.

The size of your monitor basily determins the window size.

Why is Arlo visiting Superfly with his .45 drawn and at the ready?  It looks more like a potential drug bust about to go down!

TY sir, i think i understand that concept of it, but how do you tell say a yak taking off inside a p47 at the same spawn how much "larger" the p47 is?

Think I see what your on about JB.
Scale is set relative to the other objects. If you modelled a Yak, then say a B17 you would scale the B17 up to be in the correct ratio.
E.g if you wanted a 6ft box, you could draw it as say 6 units in the 3 program (come allow you to use m or ft), you could then copy and scale x2 to produce a 12ft box. Every other object with a specific size can be scaled from original box size. You could use say 1 unit in the 3d program = 1ft in real life.
The relative size of the objects is set in the 3d program using the methods above.

HT - have you definately settled on 3dcanvas?

ahh thanks kev.

that is what i was going for. MAN it must be tough to model a plane from WWII without every single spec on it. the whole sizething must be hard as heck to get right.

<> HTC people, the more i learn about what it takes to do what you do the more i go "Whoa"

No, he's going to "ask politely" about a Spanish Civil War plane set to be next on Superly's To Do list.
