question about mp3s
« on: October 16, 2005, 02:36:08 AM »
I have an Itune account. I have a couple of songs that come as M4P file. I would like to read them with Windows Media Player.

How can I do that? Can I convert them in Mp3s? Is there a download program that enables me to download paid MP3s, with a extensive database of songs/albums? Napster is no more isn't it?

Napster is very much alive and there are a couple of other services doing very similar things.  Pay a monthly fee, download whatever you want.  Pay a bit more and you can stick it on a compatable portable mp3 player.

I use it and I've downloaded over 3000 tracks and filled a 20gb mp3 player.  I find it pretty useful.  Can't help with the m4p thing though, sorry.  :)

Burn the MP4 files to a cd as a regular audio CD, and then re-rip it back to MP3.  I use cdex and have set my ripping settings to the LAME encoder at 192 bit rate, and it sounds ok.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.
