I managed myself in a 5 on 1 the other night in a spit mk1, even got 3 kills before ammo ran out. If your smart about what turns you make this thing can be impossible to saddle up on. People will dweeb out and go for HOs in no time.

Whatever yer smokin, I want some.  A Hurri I will stay with a zeke for awhile.  For a pretty good while in the hands of a good stick.  Even better if the zeke pilot is green.  Maybe thats been your situation, or you've managed some cherry pickin and feel good.  And thats just if it was the A6M2.  I've heard some people say you are pretty good so I'll just assume you are and not argue, but your post shows either a lack of experience or alot of luck if you truly believe that.  Have you even bothered to try flying a zero?

Seeming as I've landed Four kills a few times in the Spit1. I'd say you've opened your mouth when you shouldn't have.  You give 1.5-2 secs behind you at all in a fight.  Your wing is coming off.  

For those who "push forward" on the stick and starve the Carb.  Don't do that, I do what the British did, Invert then dive.  Voila!  No neg-G's.

The Spit1 is a good plane in the hands of someone capable of dealing with being an "underdog".   Most take it for granted, and because of that, you get kilt by me, for that, I thank you.
