Anyone here raise fish (or know someone that does) for a living?    Freshwater shrimp farming is taking off in my state.  University and state publications put the first years earning of a shrimp farm at $5000 net profit per acre.  Pretty neat stuff.  

Shrimp is by far my favorite seafood.

I have a retired friend that raises catfish. He does well at it. Apparently harvesting is the hardest part and can result in great losses in fish if not done properly. He lost 90% of his first 2 harvests due to oxygen starvation before they found a way around it.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Friend of mine makes a pretty good living raising shrimp.  Another used to raise ornamental koi (sp).

Fresh water shrimp are awsome!  I would highly recomend them to anyone who like shrimp or lobster! They have more of a Loster taste and texture than that of the salt water shrimp!  

I knew a guy in Michigan who had an EMU farm and was rumored millionare althought he never showed it nor acted even as if he was that well off!  Emu is an excellent meat too! Very flavor full and healthy!
