First off its called *vulching*, not *vaulching*. Second of all in most cases the FH's at a base dont NEED to be dropped in order to take it. Third, not everyone plays AH to *win the war*.

Let's talk about the second one for a moment. When you kill the FH's the furball crowd leaves to find another fight. If you want their help, leave the FH's up. Also unless you also drop the BH's peope will just take off in buff formations or an IL-2. Buff form's and IL-2's require TONS more ammo for fighters to take down. So any fighters that stay after you drop the FH's will run out of ammo alot faster and have to leave. Now any goons otw to drop troops have no fighter cover.

Ideally to take a base, you need jabo's for the VH and field acks, and buff forms or ALOT of jabo's to take down the town. The jabo's that deack the field can also double as cap for the field. Ideally you want to take the base as intact as possible so your offensive doesnt stall. (ie you want radar, ammo, troops and hangers up) Taking a base intact allows those who are damaged to replane at your *new* base and those that choose to can still use the rearm pads.

In all my years of playing flight sims, vulching has been generally regarded as necessary when it comes to taking bases.

You mention check 6 calls. YOUR 6 is YOUR responsibility, not everyone elses. If you get a check 6 call, it's gravy. With that said, I send check 6 calls every chance I get. I dont always see the enemy in time and sometimes there are so many friendlies around that it is hard to get the 6 call sent to the right person.

Aces High is about pvp combat (player vs player) using equipment from WWII. Whether it's dog fighting or base capture its still about the pvp combat, otherwise you might as well play a boxed sim offline against AI opponents. Not everyone enjoys the furballing, not everyone enjoys the base capture. Some people enjoy both aspects.

Each of us pays our 14.95 a month to play this game. When you start paying everyone else's subscription then you would have the right to tell others how to play. Until then might I suggest you find a squad full of like minded individuals and fly with them? That really is the best way to enjoy the game.

For you to come to the BBS angry and complaining that others dont play the same way you think they should is really pretty rediculous. Ask 50 different players *why* they play this game and you are very likely to get 50 different answers.

Nopoop....well said :)

If the bish weren't throwing 25 dorks at undefended fields we wouldn't have lost nearly that many bases.

The war is a side show; the thrill is the combat.

If you have fun, you win no matter what and if you don't have fun, you always lose.

Good luck with all that angst, I guess.

I have found in order to become successful in this game one must take bases from the opposing countries.

Funny I consider myself to have had success in this game and I can't remember the last time I took a base from another country.

Wow... well tell ya what, you can have your war.  I honestly don't need the perks.  I'll give fighter support, but I don't drop bombs anymore, and I can honestly say I've only flown a goon once in ah2.  The furball is my source of fun and thats probably where I'll be.  Really haven't seen many rooks care about the "Rooks Suck" comments, if you let it get to you, you are going to have a crappy time.

Massive aerial combat is where its at for me, everyone has their own thing, just try to find something more that amuses you besides complaining on the BBS  :aok

You left the JB's to keep your perks, or did you leave earlier?
