«

I downloaded and installed directx9c,and now when I run the diagnostics,it says my vid card driver isn't whql, and that my sound card isn't whql.I dont see that as being a big prob, but I wonder what happened.Anyone got a clue?
Thanks Iron Dog

Not sure Irondog. When I installed directx 9.0c I had issues with my vid card not rendering things properly. My entire screen would go from normal to looking like the individual pixels were using random colors over my entire screen, and my system would lock up forcing me to do a hard boot to recover. Removing 9.0c and reinstalling 9.0b solved that problem.

It could be your drivers were not WHQL certified for DirectX9. Most NVidia drivers are not WHQL certified, so it is not a huge issue.

Yeah, when I installed XP I downloaded DX9c and installed it, it told me the same thing. My sound card is fine, but the video card driver is not certified. Oh well.

Thanks everyone for help.I got the vid card fixed by grabbing 66.72 whql from that guru3d fella.Soundcard is still non whql, but I don't see it as a prob, although Turtle Beach doesn't do vox.
