What is the best speed for max climb rate? I alt x and set speed to 150. Seems to be somewhere around the 140-150 mark, anyone know the exact speed?

What is the best fuel load when bombing nearby fields??

Anyone have a work around figured out for the plane following the joystick when in the Ball Turret?

Hiya fellow Texican :-),
 I generaly use 135 for max climb in shortest distance, I use 140 to get to 20k as fast as possible and I use 145 if it is a long trip.

 Best fuel load for short runs is 25%
 
 My plane doesn't follow the joystick when in ball turret, or are you talking about on the map? If there you can't do anything about it.

When in gunner positions, rudder inputs can be used to make the bomber turn.

So the problem about your bomber turning with your turret may be because you have a rudder in your stick and accidently uses it when turning the turret?

In a b-17, 135 seems to give the best climb rate.  In a b-26 however, I use a series of zoom climbs.  Go level and accelerate to just over 200 IAS, then kick the auto-pilot speed and zoom climb up about 800 to 1000 ft. then level for speed.  Repeat as necessary.  also, I've found that chopping throttle and setting the auto-speed for 175 IAS is just the thing for decending to final when comming home.
About the ball-turret control moving the plane, on mine, rudder input banks the plane when in gunner positions.
