oct... I thought I explained it very clearly but... again... if it is a close election it behoves you to make sure the democrat doesn't get in.

It is easy to follow the polls.   say there is an 8 point spread... that is the time to vote libertarian.   I am from CA so I would vote libertarian if there were only a 4 point spread between kerrie and Bush since my electorial vote is forfiet in any case but.... with a 2 point Bush lead... I need to vote Bush to keep the popular vote from swinging.

of course I understand.

I'm not playing either party's game.  I don't like coke or pepsi, I want 3rd party roundy's brand lemon lime white soda (sprite, for you non-wisconsinites).  If there are going to be continously close elections, and you're faced with making sure the more eeevilll candidate doesn't win each time, then there's no hope for a change.  Why continue the cycle?

A third option does exist and many people know that.  The sooner the votes go libertarian, the sooner we can get out of this endless cycle of a plutocracy and make it a viable third option.  There is a zero to nil chance of the libertarians of even nearing 5% this election.  I see it as planting seeds.

we aren't talking about soda here.... I could simply stop drinking soda and it would have no effect on my life.   Soda can't take away my rights or change the constitution or appoint supreme court judges or even tax me.

It is seldom that elections are close.   On the ballot I will vote on there are about a dozen and a half candidates running for office... the only real squeaker that counts is prez....   I will vote for libertarian or leave blank all the others that I don't feel offer choice.

Even presidential races aren't that close a lot of the times.   You have to be a little patient and pick your fights.... it is hard to fight tho if you elect someone in protest who will take away your rights.

I agree with Lazs, theres 1000īs brands of Sodas. Theres only 3 options in this election... (2 options)

You really should shutdown the "president" system. And go with a party system instead.

LOL MAJIC :D

Lazs, stop drinking soda?  Er, so you're saying you wouldn't vote?

If the next election is close, then I think we can see a trend developing.  The only way the trend of very close elections will change is if someone majorly screws up while in office.  Attempting to please all and pandering to everyone just for a wide range of votes won't keeps things placid and stale.  A candidate with some actual color might stir it up a bit.  Kinda like a dogfight.  First one to make a mistake will see the silk sooner than the opponent.  But thats beside the point.

I'm not protesting anything, and I'm not voting against anything.

Pat Paulsen

It'd be tough for him to serve but he tried so hard all these years he deserves to win.
