old harddrives
« on: November 02, 2004, 09:31:11 AM »
Anyone have any old 4-8g eide drives they'd wanna part with on the really inexpensive side?  Not looking for anything fancy, it's just a p2 400 box for the kids to play thier fisher price learning games on (and keep them away from my machine and the wife's machine).

Apparently the move royally screwed the 2 4g drives that were in the kids' machine.  The box it was in musta taken a pounding somewhere along the line, (the case was so far out of true the vid card would not stay seated and I had to use a hammer to straighten it back out.  Wouldn't boot, couldn't reinstall windows on either drive.  Trying to format the drives from the command prompt would take like 3hrs to get to 20% and then it would give up.

anyway.. just wondering
