Internaly, I hope Bush doesn't make the economy slide too far.

Internationaly makes no difference to me.  I don't like either but Kerry even less.  Badnarik I prefer.

I dunno, in the US I never had any limitations to what I could do, compared to anywhere else I'd lived before.
I'll be elsewhere for 1.5 more years..

Saw Chirac on the beach over here when he came on vacation.. Loud mouth laughing on the cell phone with the puny wife more or less exposed to the sun, only 1 bodyguard that I could see with his big shoes in the sand...  luckily for aerodynamic-head he didn't have to run anyone down :D

Been in the army and going back for another 1,5 years then i guess?

No limitations here either, so it must be some US propaganda that they are feeding you cause no "euros" have any idea what you are on about when americans start chanting about that "freedom" that you are supposed to have a monoply on.

Rock on ! :D

I can think of several limitations, which I encounter daily. There's no country in the world without limitations, they just tend to be different.

In Finland for example:

Gasoline is so expensive it prohibits me from moving around. There are a lot of different traffic related limitations. There are stupid limitations on office hours. There are restrictions and heavy taxation on alcohol. Heavy income and sales taxation, someone else chooses how half of my income is spent. I could go on... I believe these apply to Norway too.

Sure, but the money you have to spend on yourself at the end of the day is the same or more because we dont have to buy medical insurance and so on. Dont want to start yet another debate on the issue. Every civilized nation has rules and regulations that limit you or else there would be chaos and anarchy.

Bottom line is that there is about the same amount of freedom only in slighty different areas.

There's plenty of privately owned health-centers in every City and bigger town; why didn't you use those?
They're not that expensive, even I can afford to use them.

Anyways Finland isn't a DDR; if you think some other place is better just pack your stuff and move out; It's that simple :)

btw at the weekend my friend told he about older fellow he knows; guy was bright red commie and was really thinking communism is best system out there and that Cuba was the place he wanted to live.
All right; He made his move and left Finland to have a new life in his "wonderland" Cuba.
In two years he came back as a 100% capitalist and cursed all communists to hell... :D

Staga, I deleted the post you are replying to...

So in your opinion I shouldn't have the right to complain? Maybe DDR would be your ideal country after all.:)

Nice country we're living in; you have a right to complain and I have a right to tell you find a better place and move there :)
