A big salute to you guys for a great service to our community.

While we're at it Dan, it scares me how much you're a wealth of info in this field, and that too is much appreciated.

Let me just add my little story about Picture Hanger:

My step-brother got married about two weeks ago.  It was his second marriage.

After the wedding my father came to me with a CD and asked me to "burn" a copy of it and send it to the groom's sister in the UK by courier.  I was impressed with the "old man's" use of computer lingo but told him then and there that I have honestly never burned anything....the occassional piece of toast maybe, and Coral Beach Club (which I almost burned down as an employee there...long story) but not any disks.

So, I offered to upload them to my Picture Hanger account and e-mail the groom's sister in the UK.

I got two of the rather large flies upload before my account was full.

I tried to delete some files I already had on there, but could not figure out how to do so..until SOB told me how in a thread at Check 6.  Very easy, but I couldn't see the little "x" when I looked for it previously.

Before I had even had a chance to try and upload any pics I get an e-mail from Picture Hanger informing me my membership account had been upgraded with more space.

I managed to get two more files on (out of 15) but the account was still full.

The next day..again without any prompting, I get another e-mail from Picture Hanger informing of of another upgrade.

I sent Saw an e-mail thanking him and intended to upload the pics at the office that day.  I got really busy and just didn't have time that day to deal with it.

So...I get an e-mail back from Saw, first giving T-Bolt the credit for the upgrades, then offering to do an online "album" for my step-sister.

(BTW it turns out he knew someone who was at that wedding, which is pretty incredible, but we haven't managed to identify the person yet from the picture he sent)

Anyway...I was upgraded again along the way and on Monday finally managed to upload all of the pictures.   I noticed that the site has the ability to put together an online "book" so I used that and put one togther for my step-sister which I sent out that night.

BIG HUGE to Saw and to T-Bolt.

People like these are rare and we are lucky they are fellow AHers.

Thanks guys, most appreciated.

T-Bolt, I cannot set up a pay-pal account to donate to the site as I live on this little island and they do not allow our residents to have an account.  Any other way to get a donation to you guys?
